Congregation Tiferet Israel

Congregation Tiferet Israel’s South Dallas building (Grand Avenue at Harwood) is a now-abandoned artist’s studio on Al Lipscomb Way.

This was the second home of Tiferet and is the only congregational building still standing in South Dallas — others were torn down to make way for the Julius Schepps Freeway that cut through the heart of the Dallas Jewish community or for other development.
