Benno’s Buttons was started in the 1920s by Benjamin Benno, a nephew of Adolph Harris. The business was at one time located next to Milliners Supply at 911 Elm, but was most recognized at its location at 1810 Main Street from 1933 into the 1950s. Benno’s was known as a unique location to purchase buttons. Laura Bush even wore an ensemble with Benno’s buttons.
Still operational, Benno’s Buttons is now located on Inwood Rd.
